Today I managed to finish the second volume, which looks at Hiraoka's cross grip seoi-nage, which he does to the left and to the right. A cross-grip seoi does not afford the same amount of control as a morote-seoi-nage so usually uke can avoid a large score like waza-ari or ippon and instead fall to the side for yuko. However, Hiraoka has some interesting finishings to ensure a bigger score is obtained. Here are thumbnails for today's work. (Next up, I'm going to look at Hiraoka's ippon-seoi-nage).
