Shavdatuashvili Hansoku-Make for Attacking the Leg from the Inside

Shavdatuashvili Hansoku-Make
Attacking (or sweeping) the leg from the inside is consider illegal in judo, punhisable by hansoku-make. Georgia's Olympic champion Shavdatuashvili does this in Astana. It looks like an accident but it's still a hansoku-make.

Let's see this hansoku-make action in detail.

Shavdatuashvili (blue) inserts his leg in between uke's leg. It's not a penalty yet.

He begins a reaping action but no penalty yet.

Here, you see his right leg clipping uke's right leg from behind and inside. This is illegal.

Think of it as ouchi-gari from behind.

This action can cause pain and even injury against uke. It results in hansoku-make.
