Koga Jr makes dad proud

Genki Koga, son of the legendary Toshihiko Koga, did his dad and his nation proud by winning the gold medal at the -60kg of the 2015 Cadets World Championships.                          

“My dad said it is my first world competition and for me to be positive, not to be afraid of my opponent, to attack and not to be too nervous," said Genki after winning the gold. "I have many goals and the biggest one is to be Olympic champion at Tokyo 2020. I was proud to win Japan’s first gold medal here and we hope to do well in team competition.”
