Matsumoto's Juji-Gatame

Matsumoto doesn't do many armlocks although she is certainly capable of pulling them off in opportunistic situations.

More of an osaekomi specialist, Matsumoto doesn't usually work an armlock roll. Instead, she goes for juji-gatame when her opponents are careless enough to leave their arms dangling -- an open invitation for being armlocked.

Ironically, it was this very situation that led to her being armlocked herself in the 2014 Chelyabinsk World Championships when she left her arm dangling during a moment of complacency on the ground.
